  • Wi‑Fi exists but internet doesn't - common at remote venues and cottages.
  • App-store apps mean friction: download, account, permissions, update - before someone's first alert.
  • Mesh-only tools reach the technically adventurous but not the neighbor who just needs to know about the tornado warning.

Our bet

Resilience doesn't require abandoning the web. It requires multiple paths at once:

  • Cloud when the internet works (reliable push to followers)
  • Peer-to-peer when people are nearby (festivals, campuses, same Wi‑Fi)
  • LoRa mesh + local infrastructure when cell and uplink are gone (the Safety Net we're building toward)
