National Building Code is broken up into parts that deal with structure, energy efficiency, mechanical systems and safety. Part 9 describes the requirements for Housing and Small Buildings.

HOUSING AND SMALL BUILDINGS ILLUSTRATED USER'S GUIDE
Shortly after the official code is published every 5 years, an illustrated version is created that features diagrams and tables that provide more clarity to users like designers and builders.
In the Illustrated User's Guide, you'll also find walk-through calculations and drawings that can help you figure out the proper placement of barriers and effective thermal RSI / R-Value of assemblies.
