City of Toronto Net Zero Case Studies

The City of Toronto, Perkins & Will provided a webinar on the design and tender process for the new Community Recreation Centre and Child Care located in Joyce Trimmer Park. The facility will be the City's first Net Zero Energy and Emissions Community Recreation Centre, and the first in Ontario aiming to achieve the CAGBC Zero Carbon Building Certification. Information includes an overview of the budget journey, and key recommendations for designing and tendering net-zero new builds from lessons learned.

The City of Toronto and MJMA, spoke to their feasibility and design about the award-winning design of the new City of Toronto Western North York Community Centre. The presentation highlighted design challenges and solutions, to help make this Canada's first net-zero energy aquatic facility.

City of Toronto Paramedic Station

The City of Toronto, DSAI, gh*3, CAGBC, delivered an informative session about the design of the new City of Toronto Paramedic Services Multifunction Paramedic Station at 330 Progress Avenue. Presenters highlighted the design challenges and solutions in meeting net-zero, CAGBC's Zero Carbon certification.
