Insulation and Coverings
(See Note A-6.3.2.5.)
- Insulation and coverings on pipes shall comply with Article 3.6.5.5.
- Insulation and coverings on pipes shall be composed of material that will withstand deterioration from softening, melting, mildew and mould at the operating temperature of the system.
- Exposed piping or equipment subject to human contact shall be insulated so that the temperature of the exposed surface does not exceed 70°C.
