One of the best models firefighters have to understanding ventilation profile is the high rise building. It is our understanding of these potential flow paths, the impact of natural and mechanical systems that lends itself to tactical assessment of the potential for smoke, air, heat and flame movement and control while fighting a fire. It must also be understood that these factors are equally at play in a single family dwelling.
