WordPress Toolkit

The WordPress Toolkit is a one-click installer to initialize and configure WordPress from start to finish. But it's so much more than that - it's one dashboard to mass-manage your WordPress instance.

The WordPress Toolkit gives you a one-click login to your WordPress dashboard, can update your WordPress credentials, manage your plugin updates, and much more. It will even harden your site against attacks and give you the ability to clone and stage your WordPress site.

There are two places you can access your WordPress Toolkit. From your main Control Panel you have a mini toolkit box, which lets you quickly access your Toolkit by clicking the WordPress icon or site name, log in by clicking Log In, access Plugins, access Themes, Clone your site, or Copy your data.

You can also access all your WordPress Toolkits by clicking the WordPress tab on the left. Let's click that now and access your Toolkit.

Under General Info you have a few options, but we'll go over the most important.

To the right of Administrator there is a Setup link. Clicking that allows you to change which user logs in with the Log In button, but, more importantly, it can change your user's password. This is very important when you find yourself locked out of WordPress.

Your Managed WordPress package already automatically keeps your plugins updated, however you can add new Plugins and Themes from this panel.

If you're looking to add another WordPress installation (perhaps on a subdomain or subdirectory) you can click Install at the top, and follow the steps to install another WordPress.

If you'd like to create a copy of your website to make edits to without the chance of breaking your live site, you can clone your WordPress to another domain by clicking Clone.
