Summary: ALUS employs an incentive based approach to use marginal farmland for the production of ecosystem services, including flood and drought management and water quality improvement. The purpose of this report was to create a path forward to fund specific ALUS projects and more broadly other types of green infrastructure, and to provide policy solutions that are practical and immediately actionable by decision makers, as well as being financially sustainable over the long term.
