Free Trial vs Freemium
Both freemium and free trials have been used extensively. However, the success of the Freemium model is seen around the SOHO/VSB customer segment (less than $1000 in ACV (annual contract value) and the Free Trial model works best in the SMB / mid-market Segment ($1,000 to $25,000 annual contract value). If your ACV starts upwards of $50K then you are in Enterprise Segment. Most enterprise SaaS companies don't even publish their pricing publicly. Look at Success Factors for example.
