Building Codes are documents produced which contain minimum required standards for construction and are adopted and/or amended on a provincial basis. It is important to make sure you know what code is in use in the area you plan to work in, to ensure you meet the minimum required standards.

Remember that codes dictate the minimum standards. It is okay and very common to build better than code.
