  • Ducted Air
    • Combined ducts - typical residential
    • Zoned combined - a thermostat for each zone
    • Separate ducts
  • Chilled Water - usually commercial
    • Fan/coil units
    • Hydronic cooling
  • Mini-split (Ductless)
    • Refrigerant is sent from single condenser to multiple evaporators
    • Each evaporator has a fan to distribute chilled air
  • Radiant Cooling
    • Cold water is sent through the radiant heating system
    • Water can be cooled directly by soil or water in a lake or well
  • Whole-house Fan
    • Large fan depressurizes the house to draw in cooler air and create a breeze within
    • More typical in southern climates
