Before we install the blade it's a good idea to clean up all the dried grass clippings from underneath the mower deck.

Wet clippings get stuck to the bottom of the mower deck. If allowed to accumulate rust will eat through the mower deck. Try to scrape off as much as possible

Used a broom to sweep off any loose debris. Spray WD-40 lubricant or wipe motor oil on the bottom deck. This prevents rust and keeps the grass clippings from sticking.
