Craigslist can be a pretty cheap alternative to some other solutions out there, but you'll often have to spend lots of time filtering through profiles and setting up tests in order to validate the individual and their actual knowledge.

What's more Craigslist is often a haven for headhunters and staffing agencies, meaning that they'll post under a name and circle the work around to a few different people, paying them a dime on the dollar your paying to a single "supposed" person.

While you can find good people here, it's often time consuming.
