Hello.

You might be wondering, who is this guy? If you are not wondering that, feel free to skip this session. Otherwise...

Hi, I'm Jeremy Olson (@jerols on Twitter). Five years ago I had an audacious goal: figure out how to build successful apps. Since then, I feel very fortunate that my little app company Tapity has released three major apps: Grades (2011 Apple Design Award), Languages (reached #5 overall in the App Store), and Hours (#1 top grossing business app).

To learn more about me, this Iterate podcast interview, this MyAppventure interview, and this Tuts+ text interview cover my story pretty well.

I by no means have all the answers but I have learned a few things over the years and so I felt I owed it to the community to distill everything I learned into this course. The cool thing is that I also went out and interviewed 9 of the top app makers and app journalists in the world and have sprinkled in their knowledge throughout this course. You can also find their full interviews at the end of the course.

They are great people. Let me briefly introduce you:
