Where people are going to park their vehicles at your event is an important consideration. It would be nice to think everyone will use public transport or ride a bike, but this isn't realistic especially if your event venue isn't in a centrally located area. If this is the case, research the area around your event site and look for lots, fields or businesses that may be willing to donate their space for free.

Another option is to use shuttle buses to get people to and from your event. If the parking lots are located far from your event site, consider shuttles to transport attendees to and from. Partnering with local public transport authorities may be a good way to promote your event and get shuttles at the same time.

Don't think getting people to your event isn't your responsibility as it will certainly affect the number of people you attract.
