What to Provide Your Mobile Welder

A well-prepared builder gets better results, faster turnaround, and fewer surprises. Here's what your welder needs from you:

Documents

• Structural engineering drawings (stamped) - required for all permitted structural work
• Architectural drawings showing steel elements
• Any specifications for steel grade, weld size, or finish

Site Access

• Clear site access for a truck - your welder will arrive with a fully equipped vehicle
• Forklift or crane if large steel sections need to be hoisted - confirm responsibility in advance
• On-site contact who can authorize the work scope and sign off on completion

Coordination

• Advance notice of concrete pour dates (for embedded plates and anchor bolts)
• Confirmed delivery windows for fabricated steel - schedule welding crew to follow immediately
• Communication with your general contractor so other trades don't obstruct steel work areas
