My name is Parastoo Badie. I always wished to be a fitness model, yet I never thought it could be possible.
I was an athlete my whole life, and I was particularly fond of rugby. I played varsity for the University of Ottawa and for my competitive club the Ottawa Banshees (OBBRFC). After many years and injuries, I started training seriously to rehabilitate my body and to improve my health. I had always thought I was eating healthy, but with time and guidance, I learned how to eat and exercise for my body and actually saw results. I gained self-confidence. I asked my trainer (Aimée Brouillard, Love To Train) to have a photo-shoot to document my progress. She agreed to do it only if I agreed to challenge myself and try out a fitness competition!
In the past year, I have proudly competed with SAF and IDFA and had a few awesome photo-shoots. I took my experience to social media and I'm still going! Check out: www.P2STRONG.blogspot.ca
My transformations have been monumental: physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Here is my before and after (May to October 2012)
As a result of my journey, I am on a mission to share my lessons with the world.
