Alexandra Saad studied Art History at Miami University before moving to Scotland, where she attained an MA in Anglo-American History from the University of Glasgow. After spending several years working in historical tours abroad, she returned to the USA and established Castle Wynd Tours. Alexandra is the author of The American's Survival Guide to Edinburgh (2014) and Haggis, Neeps or Tatties? A Guide to Scottish Slang (2013). Previously, she has worked for the Middleton Place Foundation and the Old Exchange Museum in Charleston, South Carolina. In Scotland she was an assistant curator at ScotlandArt Gallery in Glasgow and consulted for the prestigious auction house Lyon & Turnbull in Edinburgh. She is currently a UK Region writer for Viator, covering Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and N Ireland.
