Besides playing soccer itself, diet is the most important aspect of a soccer player’s game. It’s simple, soccer demands energy from your body and what you eat decides what kind of energy you are giving your body, and what you put in your body can affect every aspect of your game.
Eating correctly can improve your endurance, sleep, recovery, motivation, mood and the list goes on and on. Most players and coaches do not realize the negative effects of not taking soccer nutrition seriously.
This guide will help you create the right diet to improve your performance as a soccer player and athlete.

Sometimes I forget how important nutrition is as a soccer player and this guide reminds me that it is so important, especially as I get older.

Excellent guide for soccer players, extremely beneficial as well to athletes of all disciplines, fitness and health enthusiasts. The author draws on both experience, as well as loads of science explained in layman's terms. Fun, interesting and practical work.

Great guide for soccer players. Very easy to read and understand and packs a lot of information. I liked the links to other articles so you can check out the sources that are behind some of the claims. This is a very useful guide.

As a female soccer player it's hard to find information about soccer player diets and health that's gender neutral- and this guide works for both men and women. This guide contains a ton of information but is formatted in a simple, easily understood, and basic format. What's nice about it is it has all the science and research behind the information but not in a way that bored me or had me confused. It's written in a way that is entertaining and gets me excited about my health. I would love to see a recommended/pre-made grocery list but overall I recommend this guide and learned a lot about my athlete nutrition and the myths behind what my past coaches have told me I should eat and have mistaken for a "good soccer diet". Thanks for this!
