Building energy modelling is a key process used in retrofit design, code compliance, and real-time building control for commercial and institutional buildings. The modelling process permits modellers to include factors such as building performance, climate, construction materials, architectural design, HVAC, and building analysis. This two-day course is divided into two parts. Day 1 is focused on key tools and data used in prominent modelling software (specifically eQuest and Can-Quest). During the first day, we also run basic simulations and create a compliance run. Day 2 provides interactive, hands-on examples of modelling case studies that participants work through and complete with coaching and assistance from our instructor. The Building Energy Modelling Professional course provides you with the tools you need to execute energy modelling projects and achieve compliance for buildings. You will also benefit from completing case studies that will reinforce your knowledge and understanding of energy modelling.
